Introduction

This group has both Borghese (N94872) who is reported on ftdna Sephardic project, and 41228 Douek from Syria (same project), and Dweck and Dwek and Mondiano (41230) from Greece. All of these are on the Sephardic ftdna project. The relation of Mondiano is uncertain, since the Italian Mondiano, who has more markers measured, is at a genetic distance of 2000ybp to Borghese (default mcgee distance), with only 37 markers measured. Douek from Syria is confirmed V13.

On weblog semigotha the historic Jewish origin of the Borghese line is described. The measured person is from a family line that is Catholic for quite some time.

The distance between the Douek branch (clear Sephardic line) and Borghese line (likely related) is 10/67. The NGS distance between the two branches was not determined.
