The percentages of M81=M183 are high in north-western Africa. In a Morocco study it reached frequencies of 65-98% among the Berber communities. High percentages are in the bordering countries of Algeria, Tunesia en Spain. A shared ancestor lived about 3000 ybp.
E-V65 follows a similar pattern. E-PF2431 has a similar distribution, but much more ancestors on the south side of the Sahara.
It seemed most likely that the ancestor of these branches became Jewish in Iberia. The present statistics do not follow this scenario. In that case we would expect much more Jewish people with R1b-DF27, which has a factor of more than ten larger percentage in Iberia, but the number of DF27-branches is not a factor of ten larger.
On yfull one can see the branches of E-M81, E-V65, E-PF2431,
In a paper on "The male lines of the Maghreb: Phoenicians, Carthage, Muslim conquest and Berbers" it is argued that the origin on the M81 and V65 lines is not in the Maghreb, but in Phoenicia/Levant. This pattern better fits the relative high number of branches of M81 and V65 among Jewish Y-DNA lines.
